Welcome to the first official Blog of the St. Basil's Parish CWL!

Welcome fellow CWL members and parishioners of St Basil's Parish in Brantford, On. I hope lots of you will get involved and post your own blog so we can make this a fun and informative experience.

I'm afraid I really don't know much (nothing) about blogging or at least how to connect with people right now, so it may be a while before anybody sees this. I was so excited about starting to write that I couldn't wait until I had all the information.

Anyway I would be so excited if someone out there comes across this by accident and actually responds. It would be a thrill for me, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Thank-You to all who have attended Sunday Coffee after Mass over the last three weeks. I hope you are enjoying it and will continue to come.  We plan on going throughout the Fall and Winter and hope to see more attend once the heat of summer is fading and holidays get fewer (what terrible thoughts).

Our hope is to bring us together as a parish community while also making the CWL a little more visible to the parish. We do many good things in the community that I wasn't aware of until recently. We also are planning to do much more in the community and for the parish this coming year. We hope we can count on you for support.

Thanks!
JoAnne, president St. Basil's CWL

  1. Thank_you Barb for trying to post a blog.

For some reason the post would not be accepted. I'm trying to figure out why and fix the problem.
Like I said I have no idea....Wish me luck.

  2. Your welcome JoAnne. As you know I am still attempting to be the first blogger. I don't think your comment would count, would it?? LOL

In any event, I think this is a wonderful idea and I commend you for your unrelenting spirit, dedication and hard work. I look forward to all your endeavours and will be there to assist whenever possible. OK, now who is blogger #2??

  3. You're the best Barb. Thank-you.

And may I say that you have made yourself not only available, ready and willing to do anything and everything but so enthusiastic and positive, it is a pleasure.

OK, the challenge IS on...who will be blogger #2?
    Looking forward to it.

  4. You are doing a great job Joanne! People are really enjoying the coffee and chatter and by rotating the dates everyone can get the opportunity to attend.

Should we be promoting the Life Chain in our CWL blog? Maybe we should at least encourage members to come out and show their support. Unfortunately I am away that weekend, but I have attended along with my boys every year for quite a few years now. It is a worthwhile event and a great opportunity to "walk the walk"

    God Bless

  5. You win the prize!! You are the first to post a blog after Barb and I. Yeah!!! THANK-YOU. I'll have it for you Tuesday.

Yes, I think the Life Chain would be an excellent topic to blog. I can't see anything the parish or Catholic Church is involved in being off limits.
If anyone wants to start their own new posting please do so whenever you want on any topic of interest but of course using our good judgment, not that anyone that knows about this so far would not do that. It doesn't even have to be about the Church or religion. Go for it! Let's see where it takes us...
